Hillcrest Mansion Inn is in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia, easily accessible from Interstate 64. Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) This is the closest commercial airport, about a 45-50 minute drive away. US-220 and I-64 provide a scenic and easy route to drive along. Rental cars are recommended because there is virtually no public transportation available.Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB) Located at Lewisburg, WV; this airport lies also about 45 minutes west on I-64.Amtrak Unusually for such a small town, Clifton Forge contains an Amtrak station (CLF) served by the Cardinal line between New York and Chicago.The train station happens to be right downtown-less than one mile from the Inn. Technically, you can take a taxi or have someone pick you up from the station and make it another car-free trip. By Car: The Inn is just minutes off I-64, Exit 24 toward Clifton Forge. The mansion’s driveway is well marked; however, be prepared for a steep drive up the hill to reach the parking area.
